 Pantera - 9" x 12", Oil on Canvas.

Pantera is an awesome woman and one of my friends from the Capoeira group I've joined. She was in the military for a few years, she does capoeira, she's an MMA fighter, an aspiring film-maker/stunt actress and one of the most down to earth people you'll ever meet. In other words, she's an all-around bad-ass. She has kindly agreed to pose for a few sci-fi and fantasy pieces I'm working on. This head-shot was an exercise to help me make sure I could do her justice. She's much better looking in real life, but, overall, I'm pretty happy with how this study turned out.

 She kind of looked like X-men's Storm at this point. I was half-tempted to leave the painting like this.

The early stage wasn't particularly pretty...
