For those of you that don't know, Inktober is a motivational challenge for artist to spend some some quality time sketching and inking drawings and illustrations throughout October. It frequently comes with a list of prompts to help inspire artist, it's not required that you adhere to the list, but it's an entertaining exercise for flexing your imagination.
The online trend was started by Jake Parker back in 2009 and it has exploded into an art marathon. According to ArtPrompts.org, he initially started it as a way to gain confidence and hone his skills with drawing and inking, and by the end of his first “Inktober”, he saw substantial improvement.
